Ducati Speed Week, 25-27 July 2008 at Pannonia Ring, Hungary.

This year we visited the Pannonia Ring in Hungary to join the Ducati Speed Week with our 2V Testa Demon 1078. The course is very ambitious. One straight line and many curves with changing radiuses.

Since we have no great track experience there and neither a suitable chassis and/or gearbox set up, it was very pleasing to have a perfect driver for our bike.
|
|
Our friend Robert Böck arranged Agoston Rosivall from Hungary to be the man in the saddle. That this guy was the right choice showed up already in the training rounds. Five seconds faster as the second! And this without the appropriate set-up!

Then we optimized the set up over and over again. In the race he drove the wonderful lap time of 2,02 minutes!

At this point a big thank you to Robert for this arrangement and a giant thank you to Agoston Rosivall for this brilliant driving show and his technically super-professional set-up analysis!

The weekend came up with marvelous racing weather (only one time rain) and friendliest people. Thats how a Racing event should be!
|

Our friends from Austria invited us for a hearty meal into their tent and the mood was funny, which was probably owed to the beer and liquor.
|

Saturday began with the set-up of the 2V Testa Demon 1078 and Agoston was then located into pole position for for the race.
|
|
Sepp of the team Robert Böck had unfortunately technical problems starting in first running second position and ended up as third. Starting in second running, from pole position, with leased motorcycle: Victory with 23 seconds advantage!

Agoston got first with 43 seconds in advance!

A giant joy for him and naturally for us, too! After 1 1/2 years of podium places this was the first victory with our 2V Testa Demon 1078cc which we call internally Ronnys Ferkel (Ronnys piglet)

We call the 4 valve machine Blaue Sau (blue pig) and the 2 V machine Ronnys Ferkel (blue piglet) because of Rüdigers daughters forename Ronja.

Altogether it was an extremely beautiful, relaxing and successful weekend. Kind regards to the team of Robert, Peter, Sepp and Walther and again an extra big thank you to Agoston! It was a pleasure to meet you!
